It could have been just a plain white top… but these layered frilly shoulders add the perfect touch of femininity, and is a wardrobe staple that I’d wear over and over again. The back is also tailored which does us some favours! Plain tops with just a touch of detail are often the best fashion items because you can dress them up or down, to suit your style and mood.

Ben de Lisi creating fashion’s first ever tissue dress

Are you ready for fashion’s first ever tissue dress?

Well, London-based American fashion designer, Ben de Lisi, hand stitched a stunning cream gown using 21 metres of Kleenex Ultra Soft tissues, with TV presenter and friend Lisa Snowdon modelling the dress.

“My philosophy is to design clothing that encapsulates understated glamour. If you can get this right and combine it with the right material then the minute a woman puts it on, she will feel and look gorgeous.”

Ben was inspired to use such a delicate, fragile and truly soft texture, when he searched for the ultimate material to flatter women.

“Whilst working with tissue was an interesting challenge due to its delicate nature, its softness and strength lends itself to the dress shape and looks simply stunning on her.”

Denise Van Outen in Jasmine di Milo

Heavily pregnant, Denise Van Outen looked ravishing in a Jasmine di Milo gown, worn at the Fashion Relief for Haiti event last night. She received a rapturous applause, as she went down the catwalk.

She was also later joined by Amanda Holden, and an array of other celebrities, wearing t-shirts designed by Vivienne Westwood.
